In The Name Of All is a research project into new forms of interaction and exchange across distance and borders. The first try out of the project happened in 2017 with children from Remenysugár Orphanage (Hungary) and artists from the Netherlands. 10 children and 10 artists engaged in a creative and reflective dialogue through the exchange of post-packages. Inspired by a technique called “cultural probes”, the packages included an object (a map, a postcard, a disposable camera or diary) along with directed tasks, which allow participants to record specific events, feelings or interactions. The aim is to elicit inspirational responses from people, in order to understand their culture, thoughts and values better, and thus stimulate each other’s imaginations.
